Flat quiet country lanes.
This is a 'grass-roots' style event - very little in the way of support/spectators on the quiet country lanes. It's you versus the road .... for 20 miles. Ideal marathon prep!
T-shirts and medal are available at an additional cost. They are not included in the entry fee. Collect t-shirts on the day of the event. Medals handed out at finish to those that have purchased (specially marked up bib number).
Permit/License - we will have a UKA/WA license - so times will appear on PoT and Run Britain.
Chip Timing - live results available at the event - viewable inside on large TV and and on-line with smart phone.
Entry limit: 400
The ability to transfer your entry to another will close on Wednesday 10th March (midday) - so that we can organise the data for the results system.

General information
In 2027 we are just putting on the 20 mile event.
As well as giving you the opportunity to go for a PB on a fast flat 20 mile course, this event may be useful to many who are planning on competing in a spring marathon - it will give you a good indication of how well your training is going and what time you are likely to achieve on the big day.
This will be our 10th year and we are keeping the entry limit to 400 - car park space and race HQ dictates this.
The 20 mile route is a two-lap flat course in lovely countryside close to the river Severn. See map below.
There is a cut-off time for the 20 mile route of 4 hours. Anyone not making the start of the 2nd lap after 2 hours will be asked to head back to race HQ.
Access to the event HQ is on quiet roads and is only 6 miles from junction 14 of the M5. There is ample (hard standing) parking and the start of both courses are no more than 400m from the event HQ, where we will have ample toilet facilities. There will be no baggage drop this year - come ready to run from your car. .
On the route there will be 6 water stations giving bottled water - three different locations on the route that you pass twice (so 6 in total) and then a further one at the end. None of the water points offer nutrition so you'll need to equip yourself with any gels etc. you may want on the course.
The route has mile markers at every mile (yellow signs). .
The course is officially measured.
