Severn Bridge One Mile 

Thursday August 20th. 7:00-7:15pm.

Sorry no 10k this year...
.... but we will be holding a grass-roots style 'One Mile' event as we did last year.
Age limit - for both distances runners must be over 8 years of age.

NOTE: This event will be insured, certified (by ARC) and hold an AUKCM course accuracy certificate .... but there will be no UKA permit so results will not appear on PoT/Run Britain.

The mile will be a linear route (one way). It will start on the bridge and run back to the Chepstow end. Runners will be set off in waves (10/15 runners approx in each based on declared speed). This will be a gun to chip event (meaning that your time starts on the word 'go'). There are no timing mats at the start, only at the end, to record your time.
The mile is suitable for both Juniors and Adults.  

Car Parking will be adhoc. There is no event base as such - as with the Severn Bridge 5 mile events, we will gather in the 'underpass' (where race numbers will be handed out). The Severn Bridge parkrun finishes here. There will be no cakes/coffees etc but there will be a medal for Juniors in the mile event and awards in the usual categories.

There are no awards but results will be in these categories:
U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 M/F. Sen M/F, Vet 40/50/60/70/80+ M/F.
